Most agents have a few social media profiles and platforms where they are actively engaged. You may be surprised how many real estate agents just register and get lost in the labyrinth. Other agents have been extremely successful in one or more social media. As message recipients get spammed and agents loose control, to some extent or other, the importance of old fashion personal relationships and networking are emerging as the winners.

Most real estate agents have had a template real estate website at one point or other. In the beginning it cost about $39/month after setup fees for the site and the same for the IDX feed. In those days – life was easy!! In 2015, template websites with exceptions are not favorable in terms of search engine optimization (SEO). What does that mean? It means unless an agent knows the latest technology or hires someone who does – they are behind. Again, personal relationships and networking are emerging as the winners as VERY FEW (!!) agents have the technical knowledge required today.
