SURFING – Optimal average water temperature of 78° F (26 °C) entices surfers, wind surfers and kite surfers to enjoy local South Florida Atlantic Ocean waters year-around. Public beaches with free parking, restrooms and outdoor showers are available along A1A, Beach Rd and other oceanfront roads. Several places in Juno Beach, Jupiter and Tequesta offer new and used surf board rentals and sales. Jupiter Community High School even offers a surfing program. Jupiter and Juno Beach hosts annual surfing competitions. Other popular surfing spots include Cocoa Beach, Sebastian, New Smyrna Inlet, Ponce Inlet, Daytona Beach, Flagler Beach and Palm Beach.
