“Susanna is highly recommended for her exceptional service in assisting us to locate a retirement home in Florida. She was very flexible with our schedule and always responded promptly by emails, texts, and phone calls. To locate, assess, recommend and view prospective homes, she utilized technology well. We appreciate greatly her professionalism, friendliness, honesty, and knowledge of the market in Palm Beach county.” – Delmarie F

“Since it was our first real estate deal in America, Susanna had to do a lot of explaining about the buying process, negotiations, the real estate market and all the pit falls we could fall into, as well as what is needed to own a house in Florida. She was very attentive to our needs and had answers to all our questions. The more we learned during the process, the more we realized how little we had known from the beginning, when we decided to buy a house in Florida, but at the same time we became more confident of what we wanted and we are very satisfied with the house we finally bought, very much thanks to Susanna.” – Henric S

JUPITER Florida in High Demand

Jupiter Florida - Ready to MoveJupiter Florida is in very high demand. There are MANY reasons!!

LOW CRIME

Have you ever visited the Trulia Local Crime Maps? Well if or when you do, you will see green areas on the map, orange areas on the map and bright red areas. I am sure you can guess which ones a safer than others. The nice thing about Trulia Local Crime Map for Jupiter is that it tells you what type of crime – noise, domestic, theft or dangerous, etc.

GOOD SCHOOLS

The North Palm Beach County schools have great ratings. In Palm Beach County, Boca Raton, Wellington and Jupiter are best ranked. If you are on the border or further north, most Martin County schools are ranked very high as well.

EMPLOYMENT

Most people in this area are self-employed. There is no real big business besides Florida Power and Light (FPL), a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, in Juno Beach. The opening of Florida Atlantic University (FAU) honors campus in Jupiter focusing on the medical field and Max Planck and Scripps Institute opening up next door invited endless subsidiary medical businesses.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

In Jupiter, many major league and minor league baseball teams practice at the Roger Dean Stadium in Abacoa. Fans come from all over the country to follow the Saint Louis Cardinals and others. With corals reefs off the coast, diving is a huge draw. Also surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing, paddle boarding and fishing are very big. With the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) in Palm Beach Gardens, the area is flooded with international golfers and wanna-be golfers alike.

If you ask me, I may have a few more reasons to live here… I moved here for 1 year and have stayed 14 years so far…

I have sold over 30 homes and condos in Broward, Palm Beach, Martin and Saint Lucie counties. When you are looking for a new place to move or vacation ask yourself –

“What would I like 3 minutes and 15 minutes away?”

We decided to live in the quiet Village of Tequesta with 3 minute drive to Jupiter and Jupiter Island beaches and 15 minutes to Palm Beach Gardens restaurants and shops. I think that’s probably a good starting point in your search. Other people may opt for 3 minutes to a school or a golf course and 15 minutes to the beach. It’s all up to your lifestyle, budget and priorities. Here’s my overview of nearby communities –

Dining Palm Beach Gardens Florida

Palm Beach Gardens (City) – Many great restaurants, shops, public and private golf courses, 15 min from PBI airport and Singer Island, Juno Beach and Jupiter beaches. Home to the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) and many top level golf courses and golf clubs such as Frenchmans Creek Beach & Country Club, Frenchmans Reserve, PGA National, Ballenisles Country Club, Country Club at Mirasol, Old Palm Golf Club and Old Marsh Golf Club.

Juno Beach Florida loggerhead turtleJuno Beach (Town) – Quaint beach community with restaurants, shops, beachfront condos and walk-to-beach communities. Known for Juno Beach Pier – a public 990′ fishing pier and Loggerhead Marinelife Center which helps injured turtles recover before returning to sea. Home to prestigious Seminole Landing and Seminole Golf Club (#1 in Florida).

boating jupiter floridaJupiter (Town) – Located around Jupiter Inlet. Offers few direct beachfront condos, except Ocean Trail, as there are no buildings directly on the beach. Jupiter offers many walk-to-beach communities. Popular venues include Abacoa public golf course, Roger Dean baseball stadium, Maltz Theatre, Jupiter Yacht Club, Jupiter Ocean & Racquet (JORC) and Jupiter Bay tennis clubs. Jupiter is very popular for sports fishing and diving. Several beachside parks south of Jupiter Inlet. New outdoor walking and cycling project “The Riverwalk” underb way with shops, restaurants and mini ferry stops. Harbourside Place – new Intracoastal waterfront restaurant and shopping complex opened in December 2014. Now home of “The Woods Jupiter” – Tiger Woods’ restaurant. About to happen is the new Jupiter Village – a restaurant and shopping district connected to Jupiter Riverwalk. Did you know Jupiter was voted 9 of top 10 Seaside Villages in Coastal Living magazine in 2012? Jupiter and Tequesta are also home to many golf course communities.

Tequesta (Village) – North of Jupiter Inlet. Includes south end of Jupiter Island. The Village hosts a green market in season. Probably 15 restaurants and some small shops. 5-10 min drive to I-95 and Jupiter. 15 min to Palm Beach Gardens shops and restaurants. Locals enjoy fishing, golfing, boating, tennis, paddle boarding and kayaking. No thru traffic as Jonathan Dickinson State Park separates Tequesta from Hobe Sound. Small sections of Tequesta and Jupiter are in Martin County.

I have created many pages with THINGS TO DO. Here are a few – Baseball, beach, boat, cycling, restaurants, diving, fish, golf, kayak, kite surfing, paddle boarding, polo, shopping, snorkeling, surfing, tennis, windsurfing and yoga.

I would be happy to help you find a neighborhood and area that meets your interests.

“What do you want 3 minutes and 15 minutes away?”

JUPITER FLORIDA

Jupiter Florida is a relaxed coastal town in northern Palm Beach County with 50,000 annual residents. In 2012, Jupiter made the top 10 list of America’s Happiest Seaside Towns by Coastal Living Magazine. Jupiter is known for the brick red Jupiter Lighthouse located on Jupiter Inlet with easy access to the Gulf Stream and the Bahamas. The reefs off the inlet attract boaters, sports fishermen and divers alike. The many beaches and beach area parks offer free public parking and attract local and far away beach-goers, surfers, kite surfers and paddle boarders. The Jupiter Island beaches – Blowing Rocks and Coral Cove Park – just north of Jupiter Inlet have rocky limestone formations in the surf while the southern side of the inlet is sandy. There are lifeguards on all public beaches. Certain sections of Jupiter Beach allow dogs. (See beaches.) Roger Dean Stadium is home of the Jupiter Hammerheads baseball team. During spring training fans from all over the country arrive to see the Saint Louis Cardinals. Jupiter has many private and public tennis clubs that participate in the various Palm Beach singles, doubles and mixed tennis leagues. The many private championship golf courses, executive golf courses and the public Abacoa Golf Club are home to recreational and PGA Tour pro-golfers. Many families locate to Jupiter because of the many ‘A’ rated local Palm Beach County schools and the highly regarded Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association (JTAA) with dozens of youth sports including baseball, basketball, cheer leading, football, lacrosse, roller hockey, soccer, softball and volleyball.

I’ve lived in the Jupiter area for 10 years and have really seen it change. It was a quiet town few people had heard of unless they had family or friends in one of the classic local golf communities like Jonathan’s Landing or Admiral’s Cove. If you Googled Jupiter and Palm Beach in 2003 – Jupiter would appear as a distant cousin. Now both Jupiter and nearby Palm Beach Gardens are very popular destinations actually more popular but less known than Palm Beach. The social scene is quite different between Palm Beach and Jupiter. There’s much more publicity and glitz in Palm Beach. For outsiders, the Jupiter lifestyles may not be apparent as many functions are in one of the many gated golf course communities or private residences. Jupiter, Tequesta and Jupiter Island are laid back with an affluent flair – this is more and more sought after in our modern society. For the younger generations, there’s always Ft Lauderdale and Miami – perfect weekend getaways for those who live ‘up here’.
