Jupiter Island estate homes are truly one of a kind. When I first arrived to this area in 2003 we lived in Jupiter Inlet Colony. In 2007, I spent every weekend for 5-6 months doing open houses on the North End of Jupiter Island. I was so impressed by the locals. They would arrive to my open house on Beach Road by golf cart just to say ‘hi’ and make sure I was having a good day. I used to think that’s how you told a real local apart from a tourist – they zoomed around in carts not cars. The house I was entertaining in had previously been owned by Mrs Mellon. I looked up some of my friendly, casual and elegant mystery visitors who had true class. They were descendants of the Ford family and other historically important families. They made me feel like I was a part of the island.
